Adobe
Adobe Premier Pro doesn't do dynamic menus,
Nero only does the ones it has saved,
Windows Movie Maker... uh might do menus,
but Adobe said I needed Adobe Encore DVD to do multi-fancy menus.

More books finished
Got all the stories out of the book that I wanted typed up, and that is groovy.
Found out I need some other software to make the nice menus for DVD's that I want, and have made almost all of the lesson plans for Spring '08

Josie and The Pussycats
should I enjoy it?
probably not, but hey the actress actually had to learn the instruments for the movie, and the soundtrack is good...
At least according to me.
Went to Hastings and got some Nathaney things(1 book, 1 activity book, and a Thomas the Train whistle), and some Chris things(3 magazines), and some Martial arts things(1 magazine and a book of Stories). All for free as I was gifted a $40 gift card and I got the Teachers discount.

If we aspire to do,
we can do, but if we brush aside our dreams, they will never be achieved.
I'm glad I printed out the inspirational words from blogs past and posted them by the pc.
Oh and Los has returned yet again for some briefness....

Went to the meeting, read the time wrong twice. Was a few minutes late.
Found out for sure that this summer is going to happen.... now to plan that as well.

Beautiful Sunset
On the way to STJ, well in fact in STJ there was probably the most beautiful sunset I had seen. The whole sky was pink and orange and shades of purple. Then at class I lost three students because of their grandmother. She had not done what was agreed upon and tried to weasel around it. I had to tell her that it was entirely her fault what was happening to the kids, and though I didn't think she was mature enough to understand, I hoped that it would be a lesson for her and them, that yelling and screaming was not the way to be and that she should forever be ashamed of her actions.
Also I found out that in Arizona, YCOA has classes at private schools in the am, so if I ever moved there, I could have a lot more classes... I joking said, so if I went to Arizona they could fire 5 instructors huh, and Dave went at least, then explained about morning classes.

Maturity and dealing with life:
I was driving home from Topeka, and listening to the Horrorpops albumn Bring it On!, and it came to the forefront of my mind an old conversation on the radio. They were discussing different meds, and alcohol and their abuses, but then one person pointed out how if everything was eliminated people would be spinning around in circles in their front yards just because people don't want to deal with or have to be in the life they have.
My brother's group and accompaning crew have a no drugs and no alcohol rule. Because of the history of abuse and escapism throughout tribal history and the fact that it's abuse was forced upon them by the European Americans.
I was talking with Jimmy the other day and we were discussing both sides of the issue. Myself having control and it being a part of my family's culture and surroundings, him talking of how he had abused it in the past and knew that once he started it was a bad idea, thus, he had completely given it up.
So still I think, people haven't been taught by their family about dealing with things, therefore many turn to these things just as the radio said. However, if people were taught just how to deal with situations in their life, these industries would all but cease to be.
Another conversation along these lines came to mind, one with 'Los. On the way to Iowa, we were discussing the differences between Natives, European Cultures, and Other Cultures, and their respective religions. I pointed out that all faiths no matter what denomination if strictly followed have stringent rules and require great dedication, but native cultures definately take everything to another level. We have ceremonies and prayers for even taking the life of a plant for consumption. Their are cleansing ceremonies for hunting, both before and after. However, we were trying to come up with ceremonies that Judao-Christian or Abrahamic faiths have. We both other than church on a certain day came up with Weddings and Funerals... which is quite sad. Muslim faith is much more stringent if followed, a certain number of prayers per day and many other things, thus of all the Abrahamic faiths, the Muslim religion, is the one I respect the most. However, in my mind the difference between right and wrong a lot of times is the same as the difference between hard and easy, respectfully. If something is harder than another choice, it many times is the better choice. Thus when we took a harder look at Christianity we determined it to be the easiest choice of any religion, as all it takes is to accept Jesus as your savior, and that is all. Everything else requires more, Judaism, your body must leave as it entered without markings, which is one of many reasons the Nazi's tattooed numbers on prisoners. Muslims even more. but Buddist it is a lifelong journey, as with most Eastern faiths, and then Natives have so many ceremonies and requirements for how to live.
So back to Maturity, It is realizing when you have control over something and when you don't, and then when that something can control you beyond what it should, leaving it behind. Not escaping from your reality, but taking an active role in making your world the way you want it to be, or learning the medium in between that can be beneficial for all involved.

Office finished
So now, what to do, well I guess I'll finish up helping Dave with the certificates that he wanted help on, and finish up my to do list, and then hopefully have that all settled up with Derek, and no worries.

helping out a neighbor and then some
So as I'm headed out to start my day, I see the neighbors car popped up the curb and almost into the carports. As I start to leave, she comes downstairs and flags me down. I off to help, but Micco has the tow strap so off to advance we go. They only have a super duty ratchet, which appears to be sufficient. Then back over dumped some hot water to help melt the 2inches of ice still in our parking lot under her tires, and then give it the first attempt.
Brother comes out and we decide to get the shovels(which I forgot we had) and then tried again with much better results. We got her back over the curb, but alas her corolla was still stuck.
So More digging in the ice; after a failed attempt to just slide it over, and tada she was on her way to work a few hours late.
Then I finally got a hold of the accountant in charge of our HOA and he answered my questions as best he could, and stated that his secretary would be on the phone until Ty answered, especially after the near death of the neighbor. He stated that if he was not reached within one day that we could move on from there. I was sure to stress that 2inches of ice and a back yard full of limbs was not sufficient outside maintenance for 60 units paying 85.92/month which for the mathematicians that's just over 5100 a month, and then 61000 a year....
So my bro and I decided if it doesn't get any better F' this guy we'll rally all the people living here and just hire us to do it. shoot for 30000 a year each this place would be tip top.
Then calling the doctor again that almost killed me, and is trying to bill me for it. Now they are claiming that they only called in prescriptions for me on the days I was seen and nothing in between, so apparently the business manager was out and I am going to call Target pharmacy to get the list and dates that I had prescriptions. So when she returns from lunch and phones, I can be all look, you tried to kill me, albeit inadvertently, but still you did, so why pay for you to tell me that the only recourse is to never go off the medication until I die....

Short semesters
the longest being 17 weeks, I also have two 14 week ones, a 15, and a 16.
So basically that leaves an average of 11 weeks of instruction
First week is speech, and such (which I am passing off one of them)
Last week is Graduation
Week Before last is Testing
Week Before that is Kata/One Step Testing or for W/Y is pretesting.
So now that I have Opening Night, and Week 2 done, really I only have 10 more to do, and I'm 1/3 done with the third week, I just can't decide on the game....
