Saturday:
6am up and at them, getting car cleaned out and everything gathered up for Hillcrest Testing.
7am Making sure the helpers were ready to roll out.
7:30 pit stop at the horrid commercial maker known at Spangles for the gents breakfast.... grr...
8:10 Late arrival by a couple minutes to the location, but luckily not much to bring in and set up.
8:30-13:15 Testing
13:15-13:45 Checking Message from Nick, and diagnosing car problem over the phoen, Calling up Ronnie, lunch.. yes... then moments later no, but guys to the Golden Corral just the same.
LUNCH
Back to Lawrence, with big bro taking a nap all the way... he needed it as he crashed when we got home until 5 or 6 too.
Talked on the phone for a freaking hour, found out more about a valet, Medical discharge from the army at the end of boot camp, basketball coach in the past, and wishes in the future, picked an easy credit degree that sounds hard just to play ball in college, and much other tidbits.
Got a hold of Nick and threw in an Alternator and Serp belt for him. Also free burger, and filled up Chris' car with petrol on the way... $45 even somehow....
Went home then to shower, then to powwow from 8-10 helped out 'Los and Jimmy handing out Free food and water while they handed out the messages along with diapers to those who needed them and some cd's.
10-2 went down the Replay.... there's where the interesting happened. Saw many old friends from the theater days, Jon K, Taco Johnny, Smitty, Ben, and of course the DGRE crew. Had a couple of pitchers, and only paid for one. Ran into a couple of students' parental unit. Apparently her friends knew a couple of the DGRE guys from an old job. Good times, then saw one of the whore roommates, didn't kill her though... Go me. Ben offered me a key if I needed a place to take a lady. Apparently, he gives me way more credit than I deserve. A couple of girls tried to get me to dance after the rock show, had my hair down by then... Can't rock with it up... just not right. I thanked a random promoter chica, for buying Nick a drink, who returned the favor to me, and then got sucked into a conversation about her and her man being bisexual with their own b/f and g/f's on the side.... then her man came up and said something er rather, and I checked out of that conversation. James don't join in on that shizzel. Told this girl on in green, that she was very predatory that evening even though most weren't responding, got a good look, but again moved on. Learned a bit from the friends on the parent and the parental herself, as I sat down, and randomly noticed some eager frat-tastics looking at them and mentioned said fact, when I was informed they had already shot them down. About that time, I found a bit of the crew to chop it up with, as I had been tired about the time I got back to Lawrence, but I had filled up nap time with work and phone. Also I was able to palm off the last bit of the second pitcher on Hawks, so that I would have but a sip to polish off and could say my ados, said them and headed to the T-bell.
2:00 worst service ever, freaking jerk holes tried to charge me $6 for 3 tacos, when I complained jerk ass manager almost got punched in the face, especially with the attitude after my 3 minute wait to talk to him. Called that one in today.
2-3ish recanted the tale to my bro who was still up, apparently quite loudly as I had not readjusted to non-bar noise levels. Then crashed out in the just in case area for a bit, and then off to bed.
From which I didn't rise until 5pm the next day as I was tired... I woke up about 5am said ummm no, 8 am no again, 10 nope, 12 aww hell no, 3pm not quite yet, and the 5pm and said okay but for only about 6 hours, no work, then a touch of paperwork, and bam back to sleep.
