NelNet Fraudster

I paid off another student loan, and suddenly, NelNet raised my minimum monthly payments. When I called up to request the required Legal Documentation stating the exact reasoning why they either fraudulently started the loan amortization or fraudulently adjusted payments in the middle of a loan.

The person on the line verified that there was no missed payments, late payments, or any other part of the agreement for the loans, that would cause the loan to go up.

She then said, "You do know that the interest accrues daily don't you?"

I retorted with, "You do know that the interest wouldn't affect the amortization schedule of equal payment amounts don't you?"

I then gave a 7 day ultimatum to have their legal department contact me with either my phone number on file, or my email, with email being preferred about how they perceived their play to be legal, or I would contact the Federal Loan Overseers for the second time in my history of loans about their lack of legally required transparency, along with the Attorney General's Office and more.

I made sure to let her know that it is not her responsibility as a phone answering employee, and she should not attempt to take it personal, but apparently it was not her day.

My lack of caring

Realized it while cleaning up from cooking dinner tonight, and a memory of a random marriage proposal popped into my head: "You clean, you cook, you work on cars, and you have a good job, would you marry me?," she said.

That got me thinking as to why dating isn't on my priority list. I may have dated plenty, and I could say those that I went on more than one date with were definitely interested in long term relationships. However, I don't know that I have really ever felt that way back.

I think it's because I don't want for things. I am content, and can easily take care of myself. Most of the women I've been around don't even know themselves yet, let alone ready to deal with another person. Plus, many have been raised in the "non-traditional" way, wherein they don't learn how to do normal chores, because that was considered women's work, and weren't subjected to it.

I, on the other hand, had to be sure to know how to cook, clean, and take care of just about everything for myself before leaving my house at 16. That difference makes it rather difficult to find a match that isn't just bringing a body into the relationship.

One Step Closer to Fiber

Today they came and put the line to the house for the Google Fiber. Now, I have to wait for the home installer. Thankfully, my friends that already have it said that is usually within a week or so.

The downside is that I will soon have another monthly bill. However, the upside to having 24/7 Gigabit up and down internet will be nice.

Steak Night

After a lackluster trip to the local steakhouse, wherein they had only one beef steak on the menu, and it was chicken-fried, I picked up some steaks at CostCo today.

I even used me mum's meat thermometer to check that hers were "well done."

Definitely a good dinner, though of course well done takes much longer to cook. Seasoned the steaks, and then fried some mushrooms in the pan before cooking the steaks. I used the leftovers of the season to fry up some more mushrooms right before serving.

Had some grapes and cheese as an appetizer. Also had some green beans as a side dish. Made sure to put 1/4 tablespoon butter whilst I was cooking up my steaks.

All-in-all a nice dinner was had.
