Extension requested from FSAO
After continued lack of contact from the FSA Ombudsman group, I enabled portion two of the twitter automation I had created for NelNet. I began again, the automated sending of emails through their website as well.
After 552 emails to the FSAO, and an unknown number of tweets with #FSAOmbudsmanFail as the identifier, and #NelnetFraud being sent out as well, at 15:20 CST I received another email from the Manager at the Ombudsman group. She stated that she had attempted to call me, but as the number I provide has no record of her leaving a message, I can only count her claim as false.
She then stated:
"We will send you an e-mail update on the status of your case not later than close of business, December 23, 2014."
Me retort to this email requesting a reprieve was;
"I have received no phone messages from you, and have specifically requested email communications previously.
I have also not heard by the previously declared 48 hours from December 16, 2014 at 12:29 CST from your representative.
I would prefer more assurance, than requesting extensions, as this has been an outstanding issue for months, and the communication from the Ombudsman group has been almost non-existent."
I have a feeling that they are only asking for this reprieve to give them until their department takes a break for the end of the year, or potentially Christian-American Holydays.
I am currently debating whether to give this reprieve, and strongly considering only giving the reprieve for the automated emails to the FSAO, but not on the twitter.
