Interesting Rest Cycle

Went to bed when I wanted to, before 9pm. Then woke up around 1 am with my old man disease. Was able to get back to sleep no problems. Had some interesting dreams, which is interesting simply to have dreams for me. Then, about 7am I woke up again, had a sleepy arm, and napped it away for another 30 ish minutes.

Took care of the morning routine, and then had a decent morning workout, but nothing too strenuous.  Mostly surprised that I'm still feeling rested with the choppy 5+ hours sleep twice cycle.

Solid Rabbit Hole

Was going through some morning usual websites, and came across a smattering of the free 100 workout guides.

Perused through several of them on the website as well. Definitely worth it:
http://neilarey.com/100-no-equipment-workouts.html

Available in several forms of electronic for free, and they'll even print it for a respectable $10.

Goes well with the M-100 style workout I came across the other day, recommended by a kendoka.

10 Squat Thrust (to your level, but at least the thrust)
10 Mountain Climbers (three knees up each making 30)
10 Squat jumps (to your level below squat thrust)
Repeat 3 times (you're up to 90)
10 Squat Thrust to round it out to the "Mandatory 100"

The tree, was awesome

The tree outside the window here had a great red series of leaves, but today in the gustiest day since I've returned, there are now 0 beautiful leaves.

And, as a side annoyance, I can now hear EVERYTHING that is going our on the small street nearly level with our second story windows.

I can tell the joy just won't end this winter.

Sounds Are Back in the Porsche

When I got to KC, I realized that the speakers were 1975 originals, but the stereo was solid 80s, maybe early 90s. Then, trying to hear the radio, they were all staticy.

So, pulled them out, found COMPLETELY blown. Was getting things at the part store, and they happened to have some perfect match ones in stock, and so I grabbed those. Went home and installed them.

Turned on the radio, and it was clear, and the cassette adapter worked great, but could only hear very low. Diagnosis, too little power. Went to the box, and the speakers were 200w max at 4 Ohms, with a solid 30 watts definitely needed. The radio was a whopping 30 watts x 4 channels. Meaning 1/4 of the power needed was getting to the speakers.

Today, I went to Best Buy found a $70 stereo, with an $11 2-year replacement warranty, with CD and Audio in, and a removable faceplate (good as it doesn't have an actual key on = more power).

Then, I went to Home Depot to grab some of the spliceless connectors. On the way back I saw the old Thai House owner in traffic, and she's opening a restaurant about 1 mile from my new house, and wanted to show me the progress.

Got back to the house, and found out they had changed the working wire size on the connectors, and no longer did they work for the car wiring. Quite sad was I.

Went through and spliced all the wires, old school style, powered up right away, and WOW, much more sound than ever came out of the old system.

Now, I have a pointless cassette adapter, but oh well, I had a audio out/in wire from when I was traveling in the rental, and now it works for the real car. Also found the hands-free worked well (without the car running), and was reminded I definitely want to get the exhaust fixed, as earlier at the light I could smell the engine through the heater.
