Sad Sunday
I noticed me mum, who was/is still getting over a sickness that kept her from working, spent more time trying to cook and prepare for a Super Bowl party, than pay attention to the icy/snowy conditions of the roads.
In fact, she didn't put the ice melt or the kitty litter in her car before leaving, nor did she work on clearing off a path to the car.
I did shovel and sweep and throw down a bit of ice melt a few hours after she left and the snow stopped coming down.
However, the tracks she had made with the car leaving were to remain the slickest part of the driveway.
I would rather have just said, nope, the roads aren't cleared over here, or I have to take some extra time and won't be able to bring as many fresh cooked things. Instead, she went the opposite way. I was quite disappointed.
