Off

Here in just a few hours, it's off to Japan for me and Joe.

Packing is checked and double checked. Even an extra outfit in the bag.

Also I left a note in case I don't make it back for Chris to read. With plenty of instructions for him and the office.

I think I'm set.

Got a few things done

Since I couldn't go to work. I folded my laundry, and hung other items up. I started to get things situated for packing to Japan while doing more laundry. Started making some DVD's for my dad. Cleaned the bathroom. Unloaded the car. And showered... now to wait for noon.

I said that tonight too. That's great if you're a 4 year old to apologize and be sorry, now if you're an adult you would have had the issue before and learned. So to truly be sorry, do better.

Pride?

I am proud of the students this semester they did a great job, but does that make me prideful.

Also most of the day I have been thinking about what defines you:
I mean Derek has definitions of self, but I don't know if he has one. Maybe father or family man.

Mine is one thing, and all I do revolves around it so it is what I am and that's a martial artist. Teaching is part of being one, it is how we learn to do things better. It gives more practice. Taking classes is practice and learning new techniques or even bringing up old ones forgotten. All I do is around that one aspect. That is why I am not going to martial arts schools in Japan. If I was offered a chance to stay and train I would take it. Non martial artists may not understand, but I am specifically taking this trip to come back. Someday if I am lucky I may go back for the better reason, but not to Tokyo. For that I would have to know much Japanese to not be insulting, and go further out of the main areas.

Sunday getting better

The Kuk Sool instructor is going to make some calls to places usually interested in Self Defense demos. Hopefully that brings in a few more heads, and he is working on his end of the demo. We have a finalization meeting Saturday at 2pm. I also have to remember that I have a UPS meeting tonight at midnight.


Also anyone who isn't a gym member can get a free 2 week membership when they come in.

Now

I just have to figure out what to teach that day, probably beforehand....

Putting my hands in the air

and waving 'em like I just don't care!!!!

Got approved for a low interest for 12 months Visa, and transferred my two highest balances and highest APR, coincidentally.

So now those two are a breath of air... yes... breathing room....

It's nice...

Not as nice as the UFB reunion show is going to be, but still NICE....

Even better it saves me about $100 a month next year in paying off my bills.

Well

DeVry hit me up to start up a program up there in KC, which I stopped in and that sounds groovy.

Then the sad part, last year I made a ton more dough. That's what FAFSA goes off of too....

This year I'm on track to make about the same as I made last year at YCOA, but with doing a lot more.... paychecks are slimmer this time of semester too.....

I did find my old ACT score though at 27 composite, unfortunately due to what is known and the Santa Fe Trail fiasco times 2 one for me and one for Dusty, only he got bribed away with his diploma and mine is not so much there.

So even without that I should be in because of ACT scores, unfortunately no federal aid will come my way. So Thursday I'm back in to the financial aid guys office maybe and whatnot, but I also have flyers to print at the office, maybe.

Tomorrow I have an interview with UPS, and that gives me 10% off tuition and $3000 a year towards it too which is taking me down to 12000 a year.

Money

Always looking at the money, now not only for me, but others too.

If I can stick with next years budget all the way through, then I can be debt free in 2014.... if being gigantic of course, meaning have enough income to make the payments I desire, since the recession has hit classes hard including mine.
