AHhhhhhh
After teaching class, it took 3 hours to fully clean the bathroom top to bottom, and the sink area. mostly the hard part was the cabinet, that's supposed to be for towels, and the drawers. My brother's sister-in-law is disgusting in that area. Unknown fluids were spilled everywhere, and I'm glad I don't know.
I made sure to wipe everything down, I put some wood oil on the front of the cabinets too. Also, I let some Comet with Bleach soak in the tub whilst I was working on the sink area. When putting things back in, I wiped them all down beforehand, as even her shampoo was disgustingly dirty.
I threw out papers that were stuffed into the cabinets from over 2 years ago, as well as, several empty bottles, an old cup, and even some mouthwash that had expired 2 years ago, but I left the mouthwash that was 6 months expired, and previously sitting right next to it.
I did nearly gag a few times, and left some "unknowns" in her room for her to sort through, such as a bag containing socks and underwear. I also put in there a plastic box that is likely the culprit for the smell, it had copious amounts of fluid in the bottom, and several random bottles. I put a sticky note that said clean this before returning it to the bathroom.
I also washed all the towels that were in the cabinet, as they had been tainted with the smell. I also washed the rugs in the sink room and bathroom, as even though I had cleaned it not that long ago, the floor was suspiciously sticky. I am hoping that is a result of her not knowing how to use a soap/shampoo/lotion pump dispenser.
She had at least 8 empty plastic bags throughout the cleaning, which I sacked into 1 sack and left on the door to replace the trash bag near the toilet as needed. Of course, after throwing out several things, I emptied and cleaned the trashcan too. I used one plastic bag for a "foot scrubber" that is always in the shower/bath, but never seems to be used/moved, and placed a note above her sink.
Then, I vacuumed my room, and the hallway, as I had set several things down whilst cleaning.
Later, I wiped the tub, and let it soak some more. Then, when I was ready to shower, I cleaned out the remaining cleaner/nastiness, and after my shower finally enjoyed my first bath since making it to ABQ.
The bath was oh, so, nice, and relaxing. I was averted by the dirtiness of the tub before, but after 2 thorough cleanings, and a soak in the Comet with bleach, it was finally satisfactory.
I also put a sticky note on the bathroom/toilet door, that due to mold appearing on the walls, and a lack of ventilation, that it must stay open to allow air to circulate, and the stinky * smell is lingering in that area, also making one not feel clean in the shower/bath.
