Computers, cars, life, repairs all around

Computers:
Dad's: Reinstalled and then tried a restore, his programs aren't going to work.
Niece's: found 45 more viruses while running a scan at boot. After this going to copy her pictures and music over to my flash drive. Hopefully, the numerous viruses will be out of the picture and the files won't be needed, but then again.

Cars:
Rachel's: Losing coolant, definitely the Water Pump, and maybe more now, because it overheated on the highway. Towed it back to her place after work last night with the 'balt. She did a good job, only jerked the line a couple of times on the long trek from 71 HWY & 435 to 39th street (over 70 blocks). Tomorrow, going to try and fix that.

Life:
Working with the Mil-Spec, doing okay I suppose so far. Though, at both posts I've been little more than an illusion of security with as much ground as needed to be covered.

I have an interview with CLO Wednesday, possibly a 36 hour per week gig doing that. That should help out a lot.

Going to my cousin's wedding in Texas over the weekend with my dad. Free good food is always nice.

Almost Prepared

Well, I figured with no work Monday for either, and school on Tuesday would mean a 2-night stay.

However, this morning I realized that I completely forgot to bring extra socks.

Therefore, today I wore sandals that she had just kicking it, and tomorrow in my all black niceness, I'll be wearing white socks....

Oh well.

Work tonight or not work tonight

That was the question.

I went from working 9-3am, to not working until tomorrow, to working tonight 11-5, to the rain canceled the job.

I yi yi. Is rain really that much of a deterrent for thieves? I mean my gig was to watch a construction site for 6 hours to make sure nothing was stolen... and it was rained out...

Really?

Also, they didn't tell me about the schedule change until I was about to lay down for a nap, then we I had decided no nap, they hit me with the secondary schedule change. Now, right as I was about to head out the door, the cancellation.

Officially into Foreclosure

I got the notice in the mail Saturday, that finally they have referred my account for foreclosure. To top that off, the whole complex had no power when I got home today, and I had to go to my mom's place, which she has no lease at the end of next month.

Two weeks left of this session where I have on-site classes. Still no money to do anything big though.

Guess I'll move what I have left over to my mom's and definitely have to get everything priced and ready to sell at a garage sale.

The business plan I'm sure isn't done yet, and I won't be able to do much without a paycheck. Monday at 3 I'm supposed to fill out some Mil-Spec paperwork for part time. I have finally made my resume up-to-date, and I think I can crash at my mom's pad for awhile, but I'm going to have to find a solution soon, since, this is the path that my friends have laid in front of me.

Not just breaking faces anymore

Apparently, I'm breaking hearts too.

So, one of the 3 is clearly not down with me after not getting anytime this weekend.

*shrug* Haven't heard back from the one in FLA in awhile.

So, this current excursion into the dating world might be coming to a close.

I was talking with the final one about "things."

That one is probably about over too, she wants things that I am not really in a place to give in my life. Though, it is sweet that she worries so much about me eating.

9.8.10

The hard choice of the day

Do I sell the gun that my dad gave me?

It's not really a family gun. My uncle traded it to him for the family gun that was generationally handed down, and I was the next in line for an old lead barreled .22 rifle.

However, it's about the only thing worth any value that I still have left.

6.8.10

Change the World?

We can't change the world until we change ourselves.

-From the movie "Notorious"

Today, meeting with Jesse brought up many things that may pertain to instruction in martial arts, and may pertain mostly to being grown.

I did come to see she hasn't become fully grown yet. I did see she was on a path again at least. She hasn't figured out how to leave the immediate anger behind though. Nor how to articulate her own feelings, but still tries to avoid her own inner self with spin.

The saddest part was that she still blames before taking responsibility.

Though, always there is more to learn, I'm glad I was able to learn more today about being truly grown.

Where are you Rolando?

Went to the Pitch music showcase last night in Westport, and beforehand stopped at Chipotle.

I had previously earned a $20 giftcard at work.

While I was awaiting my companion, this homeless guy came up as if he knew me, and chopped it up for a bit. He was from Cuba, and his name was Rolando.

However, after Chipotle I was going to give him the remaining giftcard to help him out, but he was long gone. Probably due to a cop showing up. Though, today, I did scrounge up enough to get one more burrito out of the card.

Then, saw some good bands, saw the guys playing for 1/2 a set at McCoy's, and then saw some DJ friends of Rachel. Then said hey to Cameron on the way out, and found out he and Katie had broken up just before his mom died, and he was now living alone. A first really for him.

So, I am planning to stop by a little bit here and there, just to say hey.

4.8.10

Postponed

As with most things in life, when you are required to rely on other persons' knowledge, you end up having your timeline postponed.

So, for sure the business plan to be able to take to a bank or the SBA for a loan won't be ready to start up the fall semester as planned, due in large part to summer schedules and assistants moves.

Therefore, I know that I'm going to have to figure something else out, as I had started to image that I would, in order to be able to eat, if I plan to stay around here.

1.8.10

Speaking of Money

My brother was unable to come up with the needed funds for his car payment, but didn't tell me until it was too late to cancel the payment. So, I am definitely negative in the bank for all of this month, unless he's somehow able to pay on it.

I don't believe he will be, and with my DeVry check going to direct deposit, I will be unable to have any money this month...

Well, at least I have rice to last for a few days.

I am going Tuesday to have a meeting about preparing a resume, and sadly going to probably get at least one crap job for awhile. All of this since, I'm still here, and not moved on.
