Good So Far

Although it looks like there will no longer be a Paola class, the semester has been good so far. I have had a terrible time with time though, but it has been good.

I am having a good time with the students, and they appear to be enjoying it as well. Maybe in a week or two my randomness will settle in and I can focus, but they are getting a lot done without even realizing it, at least I don't think they've noticed.

4 months

Well, I've looked at the end of class dates, and they basically match up with the 1 year deadline that I've set.

Either way that the settling over the condo goes, only 4 months to a resolution remain before I have resolved to either stay with an adequate resolution, or leave without said resolution.

No luxuries like eating for me

Well,

It's official. I have no money. I just received my second YCOA paycheck that was for less that $300. That's one month of working my ass off for not even $600. This is ridiculous, and tiring. How am I to teach a good class when I can't even afford to pay any bills coming up in 9 days?

White people are stupid?

Listening to Love Line last night, I came to the agreement that I have yet to see non-white people get the utter enjoyment of lighting farts that "bone head" whites do. Which brought up the thoughts of how do KKK think they're superior when fart humor is about the top of their game?

If we weren't at your parents house

I'd probably cry....

That was quite the interesting lyric to get me thinking about things.

I have this terrible problem with getting the big picture from little things people do. At Paris the parents tend to give the impression that their students are not as capable as the handicapped students, because they park even closer to the door than the handicapped parking stalls.

Special v. Individual, parents need to take the responsibility for teaching their kids the difference, and the similarities. Even now, someone is complaining that they can't do what they want where they want and how they want.

People who want to live as an individual alone in their own world, are in fact quite humorous, but I don't want to deal with them. Either you can be understanding and accept that you aren't the sole person in the world, or you can be an annoyance to the rest of us. Patton Oswalt has a great stand up about these girls talking on their mobile phone and to each other during a show that they paid for. He heckles them for awhile about how they paid money, that they can't get back, to go somewhere full of people listening just to talk.

I was rolling with laughter when I listened to it.

I'm reminded everyday why I don't actually like this greedy, self-centered, capitalistic culture, that I am forced to deal with.

I do get to find humor in the fact that a book written between 1709 and 1716, had the same problems with societies. The new generation becoming more and more materialistic, and missing out on the importance of other things.

Unfortunately, this is a true systemic failure, in that our society doesn't teach thoroughly values to its members. When many people in the same area aren't on the same page, and people are taught to greet ideas that aren't theirs with hostility, how can we ever hope to pursue a path to a greater society. Especially, when we can't get past ourselves.

Weird Week Ahead

I finished my assignments for the first week. Posted once in each forum for week 2. Now, I have to focus on Karate and then of course week 2 work for school. This week I am closing down 2 locations, and giving the ultimatum to one location. Found out my secretaries are bouncing at the possible last semester location.

I have some certificates to make for them, and my Black Belt student in Paola.

I have to come up with the lesson plans for the classes too.

There will only be 3 weeks for Brown and Black Belts before Pre-Testing. There is only about 5 weeks for Kata before tournament, and that's about as far as I've gotten.

Hopefully, I can get some done tonight. I did take a break for awhile from work to play, but everyone had left to go watch a "charity fashion show." The charity being the cheerleaders at the richest high school in Lawrence. I, however, am opposed to fashion shows by themselves, let alone with teenage girls. So, I didn't attend.

2 of 3 posts done

Now, I just need to finish my second assignment for the Dreamweaver class, and to move on to actually reading the chapters that have been assigned, and I should be good...

I did get 2/3 posts done on each course, read through the online lecture, and sat through the lecture at the onsite class.

If I can just find some time in my supposedly thinning schedule to get these things done that would be most excellent. Oh, and I have to do a database lab... grr... I have this great disdain for the System Analysis and Design side of programming, especially the chart making for relationship entities...

New Classes

So far the Dreamweaver class seems like it will work out well for me, and the Database class.... doesn't seem that interesting, but I shall see.

I am reminded that I need to update the class website through this class, and hopefully will learn how to do even better things with it afterwards.

Good news?

Well, minus the 5K deductable the insurance company has coverage for the damages to the home and the results. The homeowners association is responsible for the 5K, and because of their lateness the insurance may sue them for all expenses incurred from time of incident to time of report.

However, this still doesn't mean they will meet my deadline right now, because the HOA has to come up with the 5K first.

2.1.10

Resolve to plan

Well, now that a, possibly the, source of the flood has been found, I need to come up with 7.5K. That could be an issue to address soon.

Good news is my sister has paid off her car which will give her a little extra each month if I move back in to my place before the year is up.

Now, to simplify my life, and my stuff, to be able to fit what I will take with me into but one awesome back pack.

At the show, the Philly girl and Nick, both suggested New Zealand as another possible place to go and kick it forever.

My main question is whether or not to get a laptop and get rid of my computer since i have the portable hard drive with most of my stuff on it. Then again, why will I need the computer, and where will I get electricity for a long time?

Other than that I am just working on simplifying my stuff. I have to get all my stuff for taxes this year together, then I'm going to start trying to sell my random collections on either larryville or craigslist. I have a ton of things I had long forgetten about.

I'll keep my books, on the off chance that everything actually works out.

Though, now with my weekends almost free, after Saturday classes, I could have time to get a lot done including cleaning photographing and selling.

Also, I'm thinking I'll need to find a good set of camping cookware, and lots of rice, and sharpening stones for my knives.

UFB!!!!

It was *()&@#%*(&$#% Great!

There were so many rarely seen cats out and about!

People flew in from Canada, Philadelphia, and drove from North Dakota, Arkansas, and others. Of course, the Manhattan and other Kansas and Missouri cats were there.

I went from the not needed DD to the everyone in the band's DD and the girl that flew in from Philly's ride to the airport. It was an all and all good time.

The downside was that I didn't get home until about 6:30 a.m.

Then, I woke up about 11 hours later, and I'm about ready for bed again only 3 hours after that...

WOOT! ROCK SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
