what a week

Work, Class, Trip to Sioux City, 3 nieces at home now... woah, concerts, running sound, revolutionary after party, two hours of staff sparring, movie, dinner, oh and I think there was a bit of sleep in there somewhere....

I updated the class histories page, but just did it across the board instead of class by class. Thus it's week by week.

Oct. 7th

Day with the Masters

intimidating no?

well got a phone call today that on October 7th, just 3 weeks away I have/get to teach a fifth of the day titled A Day with the Masters. I get to teach Bo Staff, which I am teach this semester in all of my classes...... Unfortunately this isn't a 17 week drawn out basic intro to the staff, but rather a 75 min. mixed skill level crash course x 5 with multiple age levels....

Sehan

Teaching:
Advanced Pressure Points
Chinese Long Fist Form with Practical applications
Tiger Broadsword Form
Board Breaking

So at first it was exciting, until I thought... hmm 3 weeks? I didn't even know we were having it, How was I picked? Especially over those such as Sensei Richard, or for staff Sensei Kelly. Was I just an in town instructor who was available? And what the crap am I going to teach in 75 minutes which is basically one class? Am I allowed to teach Combat staff, because I mean they are already learning 2 forms, why teach another? Or is that too much liability and I have to teach another form, but then that means I'll have to relearn one that I haven't taught in a couple of years....

Not that I'm filled with self doubt over this or I hate the title: day with the master if I'm involved somehow... I mean Sehan IS a master level instructor, Colby and Yuriuy I have no idea about their official ranks, but teaching wise they are the top tier, and Judy is Yuriuy's star Student even though she has only been an instructor for a couple of years.

I think perhaps just the title is what concerns me the most. I don't know; though I look up to Sehan and Yuriuy as far as technical aspects go and Colby ... well he knows his style and is good at tournaments and officiating, but some of his views and behaviors set me off from him. Perhaps I just don't see him enough.... who knows... or it's that he is a cop...

Well Colby is supposed to call me in a couple of days to confirm, but between now and then I guess I better get cracking on a curriculum for that day either way...

Grown Folks

I look around, I listen to what others say, and I wonder what do people think makes them grown any more? I mean grown folks to me are responsible, take blame for wrong things they have done, should help others to attain knowledge; whether that be blatant telling or through a task given to them, and should be humble. That is what being grown is about to me. The very last I understand is a battle few are willing to take on in our day and age, and the next to it is hard for many, but dammit the first two are how grown folks should be. If you giggle at learning about the reproductive system you shouldn't be having sex, let alone considering yourself grown. Honesty, Integrity, Self Control, are these such hard traits to posses? Really simply is it hard to just say I'm sorry it's my fault. It doesn't mean you're a horrible person, in fact it's just the opposite, it means great things, but has our society's view really become so flawed that to admit guilt and/or fault is to admit worthlessness?

Three things that anger me to no end:
1. Liars
2. Cheaters
3. Thieves

Why is it that the three usually go hand in hand, and those who are always attempt to make it out that you are what they actually are?

Our self centered cultural spread has me more concerned than global warming ever will. All I can hope is that the next does better than the current.

Recyclables YAY

Finally took in all the recyclables, had to have a day off, trade vehicles with Micco, and still didn't get it done until after class at 6pm.

Now if I could just get Saturday to come up right money wise.... curses having extra....And get all the envelopes done....

from website joy to slander annoyance

Well good this first Website is working, their main problem was they changed the way to log in from /... to no / just ... I yi yi crazy kids and their technology.

On to the second, due to recent gained knowledge and the type of job I have, I have been advised to pursue a slander case against a psycho ex-girlfriend, because according to more than one person I have put her in the hospital, broken her arm or was it arms, broke into her vehicle and left threatening messages, and my personal favorite; stalked her. Why my favorite you ask... well since she always wanted more time..... how is it that I have even more of a hectic schedule and have this new found time?


*sigh*

I hate court b.s.
