Great article in Wire

"Do You Speak Statistics?" by Clive Thompson in the May 2010 issue on page 036.

Lays out how statistics are used as weapons, and unfounded ones are used to skew people's viewpoints.

The article closes with "Statistics is the new grammar."

Makes many good points and clearly lays out its arguments.

Ahh.... wishing that schools would step up and teach stats at a time like this is like wishing they'd start teaching critical thinking pre-college.
