Triangle versus Pyramid

In the eastern style the triangle has symbolized many things, and I have come to rarely bring up its value due to the western belief in the pyramid.  Every stage is not moving you toward a narrower peak of greatness, it is merely opening you up for even greater challenges of self.  You never can move ahead of another, only further than you have come before.  One can be better than another at a task, but one can never be more worthwhile.  This is also a fallacy of capitalism, moving "up" in a corporate world nets more income, but how could the entire company function without the assistance of the one who is responsible for cleaning the toilets?  Thus, to non-capitalist it is confusing to no end how one can garner greater societal wealth by being CEO than by cleaning the toilet.

The triangle has symbolized unity, power, and growth in my upbringing through martial arts.  This was by no accident symbolized through an equilateral triangle. Therefore, no one part was greater than the other.  This is as it is in all things.  The sum of the parts make the whole, but without one part the whole cannot exist.  Thus, in training, teaching, or practicing, all parts are equal to the end result no matter the task.  You cannot climb the mountain without first starting or at last finishing.  The how you start should be reflected in how you finish, as much as it is reflected in how you proceed through the journey to the top.

These are not things that those who have to come to value superiority over others choose to think about. In reality no one person can be superior to another, no one task can be superior either.

Take heed of each piece of the whole and embrace it with the same vigor as the other pieces and the end result will be all the greater than if you had simply neglected the part you did not favor.
