Romeo & Juliet

I don't think the Romeo & Juliet should be on required reading lists anymore for Teenagers, and here's why:
About pointless suicide
Teenagers hormones running wild
Two in the story are approximately 14
"Love at First Sight" sets up for misunderstanding of nervous feelings when meeting new members of the opposite sex. E.g. Lust v. Love @ 14 not really distinguishable.
Most redone story of all time
Plenty of more challenging reads
Overly romanticized
The irony of the situation isn't emphasized usually when the reading is taught
