The big B started

Well, I went to the lawyer for the bankruptcy yesterday.

Then, today went to *$#@# take his sweet time lawyer, and he said that within 2 weeks we can probably settle for $70K. If that is the case, then here's the breakdown:

Still file bankruptcy, and lose the unit.
Engage all owners in the clear fraud lawsuit against Don Schmidt/Ty Herron.
Pay off my dad to the tune to $10,350 for my brother's rent.
Probably go ahead and pay off all other outstanding debts to the sum of $36,351 (2 cars, 4 credit cards, personal loan)
Have: $23,299 remaining.
At least: $18,200 would be "rent expense" untouchable by bankruptcy as it's money owed.
Then: Lawyer fees that couldn't be touched in bankruptcy b/c I owe my parents
Though, $5,099 I know isn't how much I've had to pay, it would ensure that the bankruptcy wouldn't be able to touch that money.

By liquidating the house with bankruptcy, I walk away completely, and am free to move into KC with a clear slate (though bankruptcy filled).

Rent to be paid for 1 year would sum at $5,940 if I couldn't negotiate a lower amount for a paid in full rent period of 1 year at the $495/mo place I looked at. I'm sure I could pull that money out of the settlement to not have to worry about it for a year, and just save up that rent money and make some money off of it in a CD or something, of course, through my paychecks, and after the bankruptcy.

*crosses fingers*
