Funny Story

Today at the gym:

*Phone rings*

Me -"Lawrence Athletic Club, this is James. How can I help you?"

Caller -"I just left there a minute ago."

Me-"Okay, how can I help you?" - Thinking they must've forgotten something.

Caller-"You were talking to me, asked about my short yoga class."

Me-"Uh-Huh, I remember you."-Starting to lean toward the lost and found

*Clients at the gym asking for keys*

Caller-"Can I give you my phone number?"

Me -"Wait, what was that?"

Caller-"Can I give you my phone number?"

Me-"Sure, what do you need me to look for?"

Caller - "I was actually wanting to know if you wanted to go out sometime..."

Me - "Oh, that never happens to me, sorry. I wasn't expecting that."


Long and short thereafter, looked up her name, she's only been in twice while I've been working in at least the last 6 months, and is a couple months older than me.

Weird though.

I did take her number though, and kind of failed to mention my lack of phone or dating protocol, mostly because there were many other customers around, and I figured she would think I was blowing her off by saying I didn't have a phone.

Don't know what the protocol should be.

But still a funny story.
