So I'm officially old....
I have students look at me strange when I know about bands... and their concerts... As much as I would like the Flogging Molly on March 3rd.... one of mine is going to be there.... and nothing would be worse than a pit encounter with a student... I think... Maybe a pit encounter with Bruce Lee...no that'd be awesome.

Can you roll with me?
Are there just certain songs that cannot be turned down, and in fact must be blared out the stereo?
Case in point - Die for your Gov't by Anti-Flag

Ok, I try not to comment too much, but you're making me. First, you really aren't that much older than some of your students. (In fact, my husband is 6 years older than me, and well that's like the age difference you have with some of your kids. Way different situation though.) But, I know the feeling. I work with kindergarteners. I've done it for about 11 years. That means, some of my kids are now 15, 16, or 17. I've seen some of my kids' names in the paper for sports. I am surprised I haven't seen some at shows yet. Oh well, I'm the old person at shows anyway. But then again, I'm WAY older than you. Go to the show if you want. Don't be afraid of kids. (What's funnier is seeing parents at shows).
Second: As for the can't turn down songs. That's hard. I end up with at least one kid in my car at most times. So, we aren't allowed to turn down THEIR songs like the Gorillaz and the Killers. As for me, it's anything Beastie Boys, Agnostic Front, or H2O. I'm sure there are more, but that's all on my brain right now.
Oh, and I think Flogging Molly at the beaumont is 21 and up.
